About Your Instructor |
Hello everyone. I am Dr. Rachid Belmasrour, Associate Professor of Mathematics. I have a remarkable education background that include bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Morocco, M.S degree in Mathematical Informatics from the University of Versailles Saint Quentin, France, and a M.S degree and a Ph.D. from the University of New Orleans (UNO) in Mathematics. Before completing the Ph.D. degree that I began lecturing on a part time teaching assistant at UNO. After I joined the Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) I started lecturing on a full-time basis. I mentor students and involve them in research. I am a recipient of DOE grant awarded for minority serving institutions. I made this grant available for undergraduate students with excelling performance. I conducted research about Cotton Fiber length Distribution at the United States Department of Agriculture, Division of Cotton Structure and Quality. Research interests · Cotton Fiber length Distribution · Statistical computing · Statistical Consulting · Biostatistics
