Assignment:
Instructions: Make an argument for or against him. To do this, choose only one of the options below:
- Write a persuasive essay for or against Andrew Jackson. In your writing you should answer the question “Was he a “people’s president” or was he more like a king?” You must have 3 supporting details to back up your argument.
Requirements:
- A clear argument for or against Andrew Jackson
- At least 3 supporting details that back up your argument (these would be from your text and what we have learned in class)
- Minimum of 400 words
- Draw a political cartoon about Andrew Jackson that supports or opposes the president. Your cartoon should show why you support or oppose Jackson as a president and explain your cartoon in a long and very detailed paragraph response
