The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is the international oil cartel formed by 14 oil producing countries to promote their common economic interests through controlling global oil pricing and policies. Eight of its 14 members are from North Africa and Southwest Asia. Do you think an organization like OPEC whose sole purpose is to promote and protect economic interests of few rich countries by taking advantage of energy limitations and market options of many underdeveloped and developing countries of the world should be disbanded and outlawed by international law?
