Module 3 Introduction

In this module of the course, we will deepen our understanding and practice of summarizing techniques and focus on critical reading techniques.  Summarizing and reading texts closely are strategies that you will need to write a successful research essay. We will be reading short texts closely as a class, and we will apply the techniques introduced in Module 2 in further depth and detail. 

You will be responsible for reading the assigned Pressbooks chapters and short articles during this module. You will also complete a discussion forum post, along with the longer summary assignment. 

This module will occupy approximately 2 weeks of course time.
