Module 6 Introduction

In this module of the course, we will begin the work that will build toward the final assignment of the course. We will begin to look more closely at different types of arguments, and we will explore thesis statements in greater depth. We will continue to read and analyze assigned texts, but you will also begin to create your own arguments. Your major writing assignment in this module will be the Argumentative Essay, which will include a thesis and supporting claims that you develop and then support with reasoning and evidence. Along the way, you will also complete shorter assignments, including a post on the forum.  

The module will occupy about 3 weeks of course time.
